Standing on the top of a flimsy extension ladder, hoisting up a logging chain. Standing on a ladder, cutting on a large branch that's being yanked on by a tractor. Jumping off the ladder with a running saw as the branch comes down. Standing in the bucket of tractor with a hydraulic leak attempting to maintain balance... and saw. A while back I had a large tree down and needed some help 'disposing' of it, so I called my buddy the firefighter. He's always glad to come by and haul off some free firewood. Since there was going to be more than he could handle in a single trip, he decided to bring a lot a couple of buddies. It was a bit warm that day, so the sweat was flowin', sawdust was flyin', and saws were screamin' as we cut and stacked wood. A couple of hours or so went by and we had made good progress. After it clipped the front porch real good, I finally put an end to the massive mulberry that constantly threatened my house. The guys that dropped it did a thoroughly professional job, then left me to do the clean up - its a lot cheaper that way and I have plenty of friends that could use good mulberry fire wood.
